Located in Junagadh, Gujarat, Gir National Park is the only place in the world outside Africa where Asiatic Lions can be found in their natural habitat. Spanning over 1,412 sq. km, the park includes the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary and the Gir National Park, which together form the Gir Forests.

Declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1965 and a national park in 1975, Gir is one of the best-preserved areas for Asiatic Lions, having played a pivotal role in their conservation. The park also boasts a variety of flora and fauna, making it a must-visit destination for wildlife enthusiasts.
